Mangaluru, Jun 7: The district BJP on Wednesday June 7 celebrated three years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA government at the centre with 'Sab Ka Saath, Sab Ka Vikas' programme at Town Hall here.
Addressing the gathering, union minister of state for law and justice and electronics and information technology P P Chaudhary said, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a role model for public service. By working for 18 to 20 hours a day, he has shown how a public worker must be. He has brought a number of changes in our administrative system and grown close to the public.
"The 3 years of Modi's leadership so far is the beginning of a fruitful era in Indian history. The NDA government's administration in the last three years has been widely appreciated. Poor people have been able to come to the mainstream of the society during our tenure. Now they are smiling, and it is the smile of satisfaction.
"Under the leadership of Modi, corruption has decreased. Government funds have started to come directly to beneficiaries' accounts through Jan Dhan Yojana. Crores of mothers have started to cook with cooking gas. Crores of youths have got jobs under various schemes. Make in India, Start Up and Digital India have made them more strong. Government has succeeded in fully passing many people-friendly Bills like food security and GST. In these three years, the country has made significant growth in IT and technology. Financially we have become stronger and better than ever before.. Our international policy has been welcomed by the entire world," Chaudhary said.
"We have completed three years in power without any scam. For sixty years, Congress did only scams and nepotism. It never showed any concern towards common people's problems, instead only increased their troubles.
"Modi's vision is to make India the number one country and leader of the world. We should all support him in achieving his goal. I am thankful to the people of India, to the people of Mangaluru for their support to the government," he added.
MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said, "Modi government has released record-breaking funds to Mangaluru for various plans and projects. The Smart City is the gift of Modi government to Mangalureans. Funds have been sanctioned for highway, railway, port, airport and many other development works on priority basis by the Modi government. Now we are waiting for IT park in Mangaluru. The central government has already started the procedures in this regard.
"Mangaluru constituency is number one in implementing central government projects. We distributed over Rs 700 crore under Mudra Yojana to youths for self-employment. Under Jan Dhan Yojana, we saw a record-breaking participation from people. "
