Udupi, May 31: Sri Krishna Temple here was host to the royal family of Mysuru on Tuesday May 30, with the visit of Dr Pramodadevi Wodeyar, the Rajamatha of Mysuru and Maharaja Krishnadatta Yaduveer Chamaraja Wodeyar, who participated in the inaugural ceremony of the renovated guest house of Admar Math.
They were accorded a warm welcome in a traditional and colourful procession flanked by musical bands. The inaugural function was followed by a formal programme.
Addressing the gathering, Rajamatha Pramodadevi said, "I am extremely happy to have a darshan of Lord Sri Krishna. In 1964 my uncle Raja Jayachamarajendra Wodeyar inaugurated Admar guest house in Udupi. I am here to pay my respect to Swamiji Sri Vishwapriya. I never got any privilege earlier to represent Mysuru Samsthana in Udupi. I wish that this intimate relationship continues. I am here to seek the blessings of Lord Sri Krishna and Sri Vishweshatheertha Swamiji of Paryaya Pejawar Math.”
Maharaja Yaduveer Krishnadatta said, '"This is my first visit to Sri Krishna Temple and I am very happy to be part of this programme. I completed two years of my term in Mysuru Samsthana on May 29 as administrator. People have given me lots of love and affection, and that is why I am here today. Math and Mysuru have an old bonding. I feel it is great and amazing. I am fortunate to be here."
On the occasion, Pejawar Swamiji blessed and handed 'Anugraha Manthrakshathe'. Maharaja Yaduveer was felicitated by Sri Vishwapriya Swamiji and Sri Vishweshatheertha Swamiji.
The junior seer of Admar math Ishapriya Swamiji also graced the occasion. The programme was held at Sri Kalingamardana Mantapa in Sri Admar Math premises, Udupi.
