Bengaluru, May 30: As per latest information, a new disclosure in the mysterious death of Karnataka IAS officer Anurag Tiwari, who was found dead in Lucknow near a guest house recently, has landed the Uttar Pradesh (UP) police in trouble.

The disclosure says that a passer-by had informed the police by calling ‘Dial 100’ at 05. 23 am in the morning to tell that a body was lying on the road near the Meerabai Guest House.

But the police had claimed so far that they had received information about the body at 06.10 pm. The gap of 47 minutes is a matter of serious debate now.

The police have not so far revealed the identity of the caller. It is said that he was on his way home after his night duty in a company.

3 police personnel attached to 'Dial 100' facility have been suspended on charges of laxity after the new disclosure of early call was made.

The family members of Anurag Tiwari said that Tiwari could have been saved if the police had acted in time. Though Tiwari was rushed to the hospital, he was declared brought dead.

Tiwari, who was commissioner, food, civil supplies and consumer affairs department in Bengaluru, was to expose a scam, some people had claimed including a retired IAS office from Karnataka and some family members of Tiwari.

Tiwari’s post-mortem report remains inconclusive. Doctors have preserved his viscera and heart for further forensic examination to ascertain the cause of death.

The death of the IAS officer also triggered a political storm in UP and Karnataka both.

    @ Jossey sir,

Fingers don't matter when politicians hands is involved...,

The inclination of political parties showing show fingers at political opponents when the material evidence at their own door step obviously needs to be answered before any pre-mature & malice conclusion...,

with due apologies, from the beginning even I was suspicious about the family member (brother of the deceased, hope he didn't do so under duress) coming before the media during the mourning period, probably at the behest of a political party with a pointed accusation without an iota of prima facie tangible evidence.., obviously prompt any right thinking Secular Hindustani to suspect how come the opposition leaders know more than the treasury bench leaders while decimating information selectively with a bias....?

let the investigation complete..., my nerves are trembling as it reminds me of vyapam virus..., i am praying lord almighty that give good health & long life to the brother of the deceased officer, let him not be a pawn in the hand of politicians (though I may be wrong in my view ..., second best opinion is welcome)

i had written in your columns when time of first disclose of tiwari's murder it was duty of UP police to investigate and catch the culprit. instead of demanding fast probe our politicians just blaming Karnataka govt. , CBI inquiry etc. but still now UP police unable to catch the murders.
