Bengaluru, May 27: Jesuits' contribution to education in the world has been pivotal for more than 450 years. The Jesuit educational network in South Asia has close to 500 educational institutions known for quality of education offered.
Continuing the legacy, St Joseph’s Institutions, is starting a new law college, St Joseph’s College of Law in Bengaluru. This is the first law college by Jesuits in South Asia.
Located at 18, Residency Road, Bengaluru, St Joseph’s College of Law will begin to function from the academic year 2017-18. It is affiliated to Karnataka State Law University and approved by Bar Council of India (BCI). It will offer two programmes, BA, LLB, a five year integrated programme for those who have completed Class XII; and a 3 year, LLB programme, for those who have completed their graduation.

St Joseph’s College of Law will see that the students have sound ethical principles while getting legal knowledge. XLRI, Jamshedupur; XIM, Bhubaneswar; St Xavier’s College, Kolkata; Loyola College Chennai; St Xavier’s College Mumbai; St Joseph’s Commerce College, Bengaluru, St Joseph’s College, Bengaluru, St Aloysius College, Managalore, Andhra Loyola College, Vijayawada, Loyola Academy, Secunderabad, St Joseph’s College, Trichy, St Xavier’s College, Ahmadabad are some of the very prestigious institutions of higher education run by the Jesuits.
