Udupi, May 28: A pillion rider girl died on Saturday, May 28 at Padubidri after she fell from a bike and a lorry moved on her.
Sheeba (18) from Krishnapura is the person deceased. Bike rider Mohammed Mubashir (20) from Krishnapura is safe without any injuries.
As per details, Mohammed and Sheeba had gone to a college in Mangaluru together for her admission for BPharma. After that they visited Kaup beach.
While they were returning to Krishnapura, Mohammed tried to overtake a bike and braked suddenly. At that time Sheeba was thrown away from the bike. When she fell on the other side of road close to the road divider, a lorry moving from Mangaluru to Udupi moved on her legs.
Seriously injured Sheeba was rushed to a hospital in Mangaluru, but succumbed to injuries there.
A case stands registered against Mohammed Mubashir.
The ambulance, belonging to well known Good Samaritan Asif from Padubidri, was away at that time. But Asif rushed in his Ritz car after he heard the news and helped in taking the injured to the hospital.
