Puttur, May 27: Dakshina Kannada Member of Parliament Nalin Kumar Kateel informed that a high speed highway between Mangaluru and Bengaluru will be developed with an outlay of Rs 1.18 lac crore, which has been sanctioned.
Nalin was speaking to reporters here on Friday, May 26.
“In the first stage, four high speed highways have been identified. Mangaluru-Bengaluru highway is one among them. Other three highways Mumbai-Kolkata, Ludhiana-Kandla, Porbandar –Silchar will be developed with a cost of Rs 3.8 lac crore,” he said.
“Bengaluru- Mangaluru high speed highway will have the most superior quality which makes it possible to reach the destination in 4 hours. It will take 5 years for the implementation of the project,” he added.

Dakshina Kannada received Rs 13,000 crore
“Dakshina Kannada district prospered under Narendra Modi’s regime. It has received nearly Rs 13,000 crore for various developmental works,” he informed.
“Relating to railways in the region, we have 4 demands including the change in timing of Kudla Express. Railway Minister has promised that all the demands will be met by October end.” he concluded.
