Mangaluru, May 24: A new circle near Kadri Temple Road, donated by one of the leading builders of the region, Bhandary Builders, was inaugurated in the presence of mayor Kavitha Sanil, local corporators and public on Tuesday, May 23.
The mayor along with deputy mayor Rajaneesh, A J Shetty, member of managing committee of Kadri Manjunatha Temple; former mayor Shashidhar Hegde, MUDA chairman Suresh Ballal, and corporators Pratibha Kulai, Abdul Rauf, Nagaveni, Sabitha Misquith, Harinath, Ganesh Hosabettu and Ahmed Nazir inaugurated the circle with the traditional lamp lightning ceremony. Local corporator D K Ashok Kumar presided over the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, the mayor Kavitha Sanil said, "I am very glad to see the beautiful circle inaugurated here. Bhandari Builders contacted us with an idea of a new circle here. Granted permission, they constructed the circle in a very short span of time. I thank Bhandary Builders for their wonderful gesture. We have already started to work to achieve our mission of a clean and beautiful city. I welcome all builders to come forward with innovative ideas to make Mangaluru a beautiful city."
Suresh Ballal said, "This circle will not only help to reduce traffic congestion, but will also be the landmark of this area. Bhandary Builders have done an excellent job. This circle will make it easy for the outsiders to reach Kadri temple. We are thankful to the owners of Bhandary Builders."
Lakshmish Bhandari, director, Bhandari Builders also thanked the city corporation and the management of Kadri temple.
