Mangaluru: Harish from Chikkamagaluru is new governor of Lions district 317D

Mangaluru, Apr 15: H R Harish of Chikkamagaluru Lions Club has been elected as the district governor of Lions District 317D. This district comprises revenue districts of Dakshina Kannada, Kodagu, Hassan and Chikkamagaluru.

The election was held at the district lions conference organized in the city. 84 Lions Clubs,  30 Lioness Clubs and 15 Leo Clubs with a membership of strength of 3,200 , fall under the jurisdiction of this district.

Dr Naresh Aggarwal from India, who is slated to take over as international president of Lions Club, will be administering oath to district governors. He will take over the reins in the international Lions conference being held in USA during July this year.
