Dubai, Mar 12: More than 2,000 hard-working UAE-based labourers will be given a break from their duties and treated to a fun day out this weekend. Labour camp operator ADNH Compass is holding the event at Zabeel Park in Dubai on Friday from 5pm-10pm. The recreational day will include a variety of activities and a barbecue for labourers working in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
ADNH Compass says it aims to try and improve the everyday lives of labourers in the UAE. “The treatment of labourers in the region is a topic which has seen some negative coverage recently,” executive director Andy Furlong said.
“ADNH Compass, has improved the life of many workers by providing better facilities, better food and an improved work-life balance. The Fun Day is just one way in which ADNH Compass thanks its staff for the great services they provide.”
