Mysuru, Mar 19: "Many important developments are going to take place in state politics in the next 6 months. Over 20 BJP legislators will join Congress during this time," said a confident state Congress president Dr G Parameshwara.
Dr Parameshwara was speaking to reporters at the residence of Geetha Mahadevappa, the Congress candidate from Nanjangud constituency where by-election is to be held soon.
"These (BJP) legislators are willing to join our party. Their names will be made public soon after the Gundlupet and Nanjangud by-elections are over," Parameshwara added.
On Yeddyurappa
"There was a time when people who came out from jail, would hesitate to meet people because of shame. But this man Yeddyurappa, who spent several months in jail, is touring the entire state and talking about corruption. It is a shameless thing to do," Parameshwara said.
Later he went to Gundlupet and asked the party workers to work hard to make Congress victorious.
"Bring the voters to the polling stations. Make sure we get 50 more votes than last time in every booth and we will win. Do this, as BJP is giving us tough fight here," he told them.
He also told the party workers that Congress is serious about the by-election strategy and it will be implemented as per plan.
Kalale Keshavamurthy is contesting as Congress candidate from Gundlupet.
