Bengaluru, Mar 4: Congress leader and Member of Legislative Council (MLC) K Govindaraju has filed a complaint at Indiranagar police here on Friday March 3, alleging that the controversial diary was planted at his house.
K Govindaraju’s house was raided by Income Tax officials recently. The diary, said to have been recovered at the place, contained the names of many Congress leaders. It is later projected in the media that Congress leaders mentioned in the diary received payments of crores from Govindaraju.
State BJP president B S Yeddyurappa was the first to make these allegations. It was not revealed by Yeddyurappa as to how did he get the details of the diary. Income Tax officials too did not issue any clarification over the matter. Govindaraju has been repeatedly saying that such diary did not belong to him.
Govindaraju has said in the complaint that Income Tax officials did not find any diary during the raid and someone might have planted the diary with the files and documents seized from his house, just to conspire against him and his party Congress.
Govindaraju has urged the police take serious action against the culprits after conducting the probe.
Indiranagar police have registered the case against unknown persons and are investigating.
