Similarly the long-awaited Ajri Chonamane bridge will also become a reality soon. We have always been quick in responding to the genuine needs of the people of the constituency."
Mescom director, Sampigedi Sanjiva Shetty, Ajri Chonamane Shaneeshwara temple trustee, Ashok Shetty, Zilla panchayat former president, Raju Poojary Byndoor, gram panchayat members, Ravi Ganiga Ajri, Sathish Shetty Kadri, and Mahabala Kothari, Yadamoge gram panchayat vice president, Balachandra Kulal, minor irrigation department engineer, Alwyn, contractor, Gokula Shetty and others were present.
People here were forced to use a make-shift wooden bridge to cross the river. The bridge used to get washed away in the monsoons as the river flows in full fury during the rainy season. Crossing the river on this fragile wooden bridge posed lot of risks. The people had been frequently requesting the government for a bridge here.
Daijiworld.com and Daijiworld television channel had brought out special reports on the plight of the people living here, year after year. The dreams of the people from Chonamane are getting fulfilled now, and the people have been profusely commending the role of the media in making this happen.
