Public awareness in India about the 'BIG C' (Cancer) is at a very low level. Thus, this initiative undertaken by Yenepoya Medical University, has literally succeded in killing 2 birds with one stone, by raising awareness about Cancer, as well as in encouraging people to run and be physically active and healthy. It is absolutely true that "Prevention is better than Cure".

Good move. But the runners have dirtied the entire city. Plastic bottles and cups littered everywhere. I hope the organizers will keep dust bins at regular intervals so that it can be nicely dumped. Otherwise, these will be the brand ambassadors against SWACCH BHARATH. Jai Hind

Very Good move. Running makes you happier, helps you get fit, strengthens your knees, will keep you sharper even as you age, can reduce your risk of cancer and adds years to your life. I don't miss running events. I ran Dubai marathon and waiting for Sharjah 10K open run. Keep running and be healthier.
