The respective mahouts and workers escorted the elephants to Mathigodu elephant camp, and will return after training for mahouts there for six months.

Kannandaranjan, Kushalnagar sub-zonal forest officer said that the best trained elephants in the camp have been sent to Uttarakhand as per orders from senior officers.
The elephants were given a bath by the mahouts at Dubare lake, fed a paddy, rice and corn breakfast and sent off to their new home in the morning.
