I believe that the party high command will be successful in its endeavour to reverse his decision to leave the party. I am sure that he will not go away from us," he explained. Parameshwar admitted that it will be a loss for the party if Krishna fails to come back into its fold.

S M Krishna
During his interaction with media persons at Koppal which he visited on Wednesday afternoon to take part in a private function, Parameshwar said that Krishna's departure is a loss for the party, but the party leadership will leave no stone unturned in an effort to bring the party to power. About the adverse comment made by veteran party leader, Jaffer Sharief, about the state administration, he said that it is his individual opinion.
Chief minister, Siddaramaiah, speaking to the media at Mysuru on Wednesday, said he is confident that the party high command, which is discussing the issues with S M Krishna, would be able to bring the leader back. "So far I have not spoken to Krishna. I plan to hold discussions with him soon. It is wrong to say that seniors are being sidelined in the party. We are getting the benefit of rich experience of veteran party leaders. Krishna and Jaffer Sharief had taken part in the coordination committee meeting of the party recently. We need both the experience and youth power in the party," he stated.
Energy minister, D K Shivakumar, told the reporters on Wednesday that Krishna himself has talked about the power and opportunities given to him by the Congress. "The talk of Krishna joining BJP is the brainchild of some people with wild imaginations. I am sure that he will not choose the wrong path. We are making efforts at various levels to retain Krishna in our party," he added.
