Belagavi, Jan 28: In an interesting development, state minister, U T Khader, made an effort to personally streamline the traffic in the city on Friday January 27. Khader was trying to get out of a very bad traffic jam in which he had got stuck unexpectedly.
Khader was being driven towards Sambra airport here to go back to Bengaluru on Friday, when he came across a traffic jam that had occurred due to the fact that chief minister, Siddaramaiah, was on a visit to the district through this road. Khader was in a hurry to reach the airport, and he got stranded amid maddening traffic although the departure time of his aircraft was nearing.
Frustrated by this turn of events, Khader got down from the car, stood in the midst of the road, and tried to guide the traffic by giving signals and shouting at drivers like traffic policemen.
However, his effort went in vain. He then dropped the idea, and sought lift to the airport through the motor bike of an unknown bike rider. Strangely, his car continued to be stuck in the jam, even after Khader reached the airport and boarded his aircraft.
