Mangaluru, Jan 25: The Apostolic Carmel Congregation was established on July 16, 1868 with an aim to improve the quality of life of the people of the coastal region here, by educating children and providing them a holistic and value based education.
St Ann’s Convent was the first to be established and it is a privilege to belong to this blessed spot which is the root from which its branches and shoots have now spread all over India, Srilanka, Pakistan, East Africa and so on. The tiny mustard seed sown in the soil of St Ann’s has grown into a mighty tree over the past 148 years catering to the educational needs of children and adults at all levels including differently abled children.
