Mangaluru, Jan 23: The Annual Sports Day of Mahesh College of Commerce and Management was celebrated with the zeal of true sportsmanship on January 21.

K Devananda Pai, correspondent, Besant First Grade College, Mangaluru and assistant Secretary, WNES inaugurated the sports meet.

As the balloons were flying high and the college flag was fluttering in the sky Pai advised the students to give utmost importance to good health and maintain it by regular exercise. He stressed on active participation than winning the game. Principal Prof Herald Fernandes  introduced the chief guest and Muvaffak, the college president, florally welcomed him.

Mohammmed Ashwar administered the oath. Shivakumar, the president of the sports association rendered the vote of thanks. The programme was compered by Alrin D'Souza, the secretary of the association.This was followed by various track and field events. All the students participated in most of the events.
