Mangaluru Jan 20 : The department of hospital administration of Father Muller Medical College, here will be organizing a workshop on 'Trends 2K17 changing skills and Development Among Healthcare Administrators' on January 25 at the college, revealed Sweta D'Cunha, course coordinator from the department of hospital administration.
Addressing the media here on Friday January 20, she said, "This workshop will be a signature event for students to promote and enhance their knowledge and skills through discussions, deliberation, demonstration, innovation and creativity on skills to be aquired by the hospital administration."
"The workshop will be inaugurated by Dr K Shekar, registrar NIMHANS in the presence of Fr Patrick Rodrigues, director Father Muller Charitable Institutions, Fr Richard Coelho, administrator of Father Muller Medical College Hospital, Dr Jayaprakash Alva, dean of the college."
"Dr K Shekar, registrar NIMHANS will deliver the keynote address, Fr Patrick Rodrigues, director of Father Muller Charitable Institutions will preside over the function."
"The department of hospital administration celebrates its 20 years of glorious existance. Over the span of two decades the department has deliverd quality education to its students by providing them with opportunities and challenges which have enabled them to inculcate managerial and administrative skills required to be efficient hospital administrators. In addition, they are equipped with sharp intellect honed with knowledge, attitude, skills and understanding. Hands on activities the department engages in, involve conferences, workshops and seminars which further train the students of the department in additional competencies required in the field of healthcare. The students have excelled in acedamics and have secured several ranks under the Rajiv Gandhi University of health science, Bengaluru. They have the honor of achieving four ranks this year."
Dr Namratha, staff coordinator of the department of hospital administration, Henzil D'Souza, student coordinator and Sharal Marina Lewis and others were present.
