Udupi: Bike rally on people's opinion of new Kaup taluk held

Udupi, Jan 3: A massive bike rally under the leadership of Taluk Horata Samiti urging for the creation of Kaup taluk was held here on Sunday January 1. The rally was organised to gather support for the proposed procession on January 7 and 8.

Manohar Shetty Kaup, entrepreneur and managing director of Sai Radha Group flagged off the rally. He expressed his solidarity for the campaign for the creation of Kaup taluk.

The bike rally that kicked off opposite Kaup Laxmi Janardhan temple, proceeded via important places in Kaup and concluded in Kaup. Hundreds of bike riders participated in the rally and expressed their support.

K Leeladhar Shetty, president of Kaup Taluk Horata Samiti; Navinchandra J Shetty, Kaup block Congress president; Kaup Diwaker Shetty, DCC vice president; Madhava R Palan, president of Kaup Billavara Sangha; K H Usman, vice president of town municipal council; members Nagesh Suvarna, Mohammed Imran, people representatives, former zilla panchayat member Ida Gibba D'Souza, Palimar grama panchayat president Jithendra Furtado, former Katpadi grama panchayat president Vinaya Ballal, Bharathiya Krishika Sangha's Ramakrishna Sharma Bantakallu, Srikara Shetty Kalya and others were present.
