Bengaluru, Dec 27: Suspended managing director of state-owned Cauvery Neeravari Nigam Ltd, T N Chikkarayappa, who has been absconding since a case was filed against him after recovery of huge unaccounted wealth during raids on his office and residence, reportedly has written to Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) from his hideout, seeking time to appear for investigation.
In a letter sent to ACB by registered post, Chikkarayappa said that he has got admitted into a private hospital as he is unwell. He therefore has sought time to appear for investigation, ACB sources revealed. The letter was sent by registered post from Sadashivanagara post office in the city.
ACB officials, who want to grill the officer relating to the case of accumulating wealth beyond his known sources of income, are continuing to search for him for interrogating him and collecting more information relating to the case.
