Taipei City, Oct 16 (IANS): Promising Indian shuttler Sourabh Verma defeated Malaysia's Daren Liew 12-10, 12-10, 3-3 in the summit clash to clinch the Chinese Taipei Open title here on Sunday.
The 23-year-old outplayed his opponent in the first two games to take the lead. But Liew retired in the third game due to a shoulder injury.
The Madhya Pradesh-born made a solid comeback after he was sidelined due to elbow and knee injuries last year.
