Coventry (England), Oct 14 (IANS): The Indian squad continued their superb performance at the World Powerlifting Championship, clinching two more medals on the second day of the event here.
Vaibhav Rana took the silver medal in the 125kg Raw category while Kanwardeep bagged bronze in the 110kg Raw event here late on Thursday night.
The Indian medals tally now stands at six with two gold, three silver and a bronze.
India enjoyed a superb start to their campaign on Wednesday with Mukesh Singh Gehlot (125kg Raw) and Gaurav Sharma (140kg+ Raw) winning gold medals in their respective categories.
Gehlot, who had earlier won gold in 2013, became world champion for the second time late on Wednesday night.
Vaibhav Rana (125kg Raw) and Kanwardeep Singh (110kg Raw) had also taken silver in their respective events.
Indian coach Bhupender Dhawan was confident that Indian powerlifters will win more medals along with the team championship.
