London, Oct 12 (IANS): Manchester City defender Bacary Sagna will be sidelined for about three weeks due to an injury and will miss the Champions League match against Barcelona on October 19.
The French international suffered an injury during his national team's 1-0 victory over the Netherlands in Amsterdam on Monday,reports Efe.
"Sagna was injured while on international duty with France and has suffered a hamstring pull - he is likely to return in early November," Manchester City announced on its official website.
Sagna is a key player with the English club, as he started four of the seven matches of the Premier League this season.
The French defender will also miss the Premier League games against Everton, Southampton and West Bromwich Albion, as well as the derby against Manchester United in the League Cup on October 26.
