Mumbai, Sep 28 (IANS): The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) on Wednesday after opening on a negative note soon moved to positive region during the morning session of the trade.
The Sensex of the BSE after opening at 28,198.88 points soon shot up and touched a high of 28,291.87 points and a low of 28,198.30 points.
On September 27 the Sensex closed at 28,223.70 points.
The Sensex is trading at 28,261.43 points, up by 37.73 points or 0.13 per cent.
On the other hand, the broader 51-scrip Nifty at National Stock Exchange (NSE) opened at 8,711.20 points after closing at 8,706.40 points on September 26.
The Nifty is trading at 8,706.10 points in the morning.
