Mumbai, Nov 29: The Gamdevi police may arrest Veena Sippy, the 45-year-old housewife who allegedly pasted posters on the door of film star Aarti Chhabria.
Confirming that Sippy may be arrested, Senior PI Narayan Dumbre said, “We will arrest Sippy under Section 509 (words, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the IPC. We are also conducting an enquiry into the exact nature of the incident.”
Dumbre, who resides in a fourth floor flat at Sham Bhuvan on Napean Sea Road, said this was not the first time the actress had filed a police complaint against her next-door neighbour.
Earlier, Chhabria filed a case against Sippy two months ago for quarrelling with her. Sippy has been
living with her 75-year-old mother in the said flat for the past 20 years.
