Mangaluru, Jul 7: Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated at St Aloysius College Higher Primary School, Kodialbail, here on July 5. On the eve of this festival students spoke about the significance of Ramzan.
The PTA vice president introduced the chief guest Mohamad Nazeer, the commissioner of MUDA. Addressing the gathering, Mr. Nazeer appreciated the efforts of the school to promote interreligious understanding and mutual harmony.
In his address, Maulvi Ishaq Saqafi spoke about the significance of Ramzan. He told children to be good, to serve others and to be an example to society.
Both the guests greeted everyone Eid-Ul-Fitr.
The correspondent of the school Fr Eric Mathais spoke about the four values that have to be inculcated by everyone to make them respectable persons of society.
Anoop A Rao of std VII selected as junior ambassador to participate in the 28th Asia Pacific Children’s Convention to be held at Japan was formally introduced to all. Best wishes were expressed to the young achiever for success in his forthcoming endeavour.
The formal programme was followed by a Qawwali dance performance and concluded with the school anthem.
