Mangaluru, Jun 26: Mangaluru south assembly constituency and Mangaluru city Congress committee organized a free medical, dental, malaria and thyroid check up camp under the leadership of Mangaluru south MLA J R Lobo at Ashoknagar Higher Primary School here on Sunday, June 26.

J R Lobo inaugurated the medical camp and said, “We have been organizing free medical camps every month in Mangaluru south constituency. Congress party has always worked for the betterment of the poor and that is the reason we have been organizing these medical camps.”

“Many people are unable to take treatments at hospitals and they neglect their health. We should all take precautions and regularly go for checkups. I thank KMC and A J hospital who have joined hands with us and cooperated in organizing these medical camps.” 

“I urge all the party workers to extend their full support to leaders and make sure that the benefits reach out to all the people. I thank all party workers who have helped in organizing this medical camp.”

Youth congress president Mithun Rai said, “We thank our MLA J R Lobo who has undertaken a model programme for the betterment of people. Knowing the need of health he has been continuously organizing these medical camps. I urge all the party workers to make sure that the benefit of these health camps reaches everyone and thank them for the efforts they have put in organizing this programme.”

Former MUDA chairman Suresh Ballal said, “Health is very important for every individual and it is our responsibility to maintain health. Most of the times, we are not aware about health issues. Thus taking up checkups is very important. This is a good programme organized by our MLA. I urge all to take benefit of this programme.”
