Ballari, Jun 22: District superintendent of police here, R Chetan, said that the allegations contained in the complaint made by former Kudligi deputy superintendent of police (DySP), Anupama Shenoy, to the state women's commission are false.
Speaking on the subject, Chetan said he was open for any kind of investigation. He felt that impartial investigation by the commission will bring out the truth. He dismissed Anupama's allegation that some secret information pertaining to Kuligi sub-division had been leaked by him. He also said that it was wrong on the part of Anupama to accuse him of issuing memos to her repeatedly.
"My higher officials issue me memos containing directions on how to function. Likewise, I issue memos about how works of the department have to be conducted through memos, to all the six deputy superintendents of police of this division. What is wrong with this system? It is wrong to claim that I had issued more number of memos to Anupama as compared to others," he clarified.
Chetan said he had advance information about the possibility of protest on June 4 and that accordingly he had asked the concerned to register case. At the same time, he hastened to add that he has no information on second resignation letter submitted by the former DySP as referred in her complaint.
Chetan said that police sub-inspector of Gandhinagar station here has been instructed to conduct an investigation into the Facebook account of Anupama Shenoy.
