Udupi, Jun 21: “Yoga is not confined to any particular religion. All Indians should do Yoga exercises. If they do not like chanting of ‘Om’, they can chant any other mantra of their religion,” said Pejawar Swamiji on the occasion of World Yoga Day at Sarwangasana on Tuesday June 21.
He inaugurated Yoga programme held by Patanjali Yoga Samiti at Srikrishna Math Rajangana as part of World Yoga day and spoke to reporters.
“All Indians should do Yogasanas. If it is a problem to chant ‘Om’, they can chant from Holy Quran or any other religious chants. Yoga is international and interreligious. It should not be confined to one day. Meditation and mind become stronger with Yoga,” he said.
