Udupi: Hit by tipper, bike rider gets killed

Udupi, Jun 18: In an accident which occurred at Neermakki road bend in Kadoor village near Brahmavar on Thursday June 16 night, a bike rider lost his life after a tipper knocked him down.

The deceased has been identified as Raghuram Shetty from Hosmane in Mandarti. Shetty was going to Mandarti from Kokkarne in his motor bike, when a tipper which came from opposite direction hit him. Raghuram Shetty fell to the ground due to the impact. He was seriously injured, and was taken to Manipal hospital for treatment.

Without responding to treatments, Shetty died on Friday morning. A case relating to this accident was filed in Brahmavar police station.
