HC orders investigation by registrar into Judicial Layout irregularities

Bengaluru, Jun 17: The state high court (HC) has instructed registrar of cooperative societies to conduct investigation into irregularities which have occurred in the Judicial Layout that has come up in hundreds of acres of land at Allalasandra near Yelahanka. The division bench of the HC presided by Justice Ram Mohan Reddy and Justice H Billappa passed this order, which had been reserved after hearing a petition filed by Kedambady Jagannath Shetty and others.

"The registrar of cooperatives has been directed to verify all the records relating to Karnataka State Judiciary Employees Housing Society within six months from June 30. It also has to take legal steps against the concerned wherever sites have been allotted to people against or in violation of the bylaws of the society, the bench said in its 70-page order.

It instructed the registrar to verify in detail about the people to whom sites have been allotted, relationship between them and society directors, positions held, where they had worked, etc.
