Mangaluru, Jun 11: The state high court has granted bail to two of the accused in the case of murder of under-trial prisoner, Madoor Isubu, when he was lodged in the district prison here.
Madoor Isubu alias Madoor Yousuf was going for bath at around 7 am on November 2, 2015 when he was attacked and murdered inside the prison here. The police had registered case, accusing Shobharaj, Pradeep, Umesh Kumbar, Latish, Yuvaraj and some others of attacking Isubu with lethal weapons and killing him. Charge sheet had been filed in the court against 11 persons. Kamalaksha and Satish Achary were also named as accused in the case, who were charged with helping the other accused by providing them weapons of murder.
The state high court has upheld bail applications moved by Kamakalsha and Satish Achary. Advocates, R K Mahadev and Dinakar Shetty, had appeared in the high court on behalf of these two persons and argued in favour of granting them bail.
