Mangalore, Nov 3: Under political pressure governor Rameshwar Thakur is delaying the formation of the BJP-JD(S) coalition government, alleged president Monappa Bhandary of the Dakshina Kannada unit of BJP here, on Friday November 2.
Speaking at the protest rally Monappa Bhandary criticized the governor for not taking an expedient decision on the formation of the government although they had the required numbers to form the government. A memorandum was submitted to the governor in which the BJP has urged him to end the imbroglio in the state and allow the State to function in a democratic manner.
The memorandum states that the BJP and JD(S) had the required numbers to form the government and urges him to uphold the democratic values to allow the formation of government. Further the memorandum accusing the Congress states that the demand of the Congress to dissolve the assembly was politically motivated and therefore has requested that the governor not entertain such demands.
