Several places in twin-districts receive thundershowers

Mangaluru, Jun 5: Several areas in both Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts received rain coupled with thunder on Saturday June 4.

Places like Beltangady, Kadaba and Puttur in Dakshina Kannada  as well as Karkala, Ajekar, some areas of Kundapur taluk received good rain coupled with thunder.

The rainwater that is flowing through River Swarna from Karkala is expected to reach Baje dam on Sunday. On Saturday, the water had flowed till Puthige. Citizens of Udupi are waiting for the water level in Baje dam to rise so that their water problems are resolved.
