Bengaluru, May 24 (IANS): The sixth edition of India's biggest social media festival Social Media Week (SMW) is set to be organised here on June 9-10 with an aim to explore how digital technology has been successful in changing our daily lives.
One of the most popular platforms worldwide to discuss the power of technology and global impact, the event will have as speakers advertising film director Prahlad Kakar, Microsoft marketer Jyotsna and Ahmed Aftab Naqvi, entrepreneur and founder of hybrid startup accelerator Sparknext, among others.
Based on the theme titled 'The Invisible Hand: Hidden Forces of Technology (and how we can Harness it for Good)', the event welcomes the modifications in technology that has changed the way people connect, consume and communicate.
The event was first organised in New York in 2012 by Crowdcentric Media LLC.
This year's event is expected to attract over 2,000 professionals, including people from advertising and marketing, brand management, entrepreneurs, start-ups and students, among others.
