Saawariya's Ranbir Kapoor Hit by Mob Fury

Mumbai, Oct 24: Ranbir has been hit by mob fury. No other newcomer in living memory has been received with such mass hysteria before the release of his first film. In the past few weeks he has been on several promotional tours to cities across the country.

"I must say the attention has been extremely flattering. Yeah, the girls. But the guys seem to like me too. But I like connecting with kids the most. I've always liked kids, maybe because I am one myself. I find them responding deeply to me. Everywhere it has been awesome, sometimes a little scary to see all these girls running towards you like the guy in The Bachelor being pursued by hundreds of girls."

Ranbir's scariest experience with fans was at Hyderabad where an excited female fan broke the security cordon at the airport, jumped on Ranbir and ripped off his jacket.

"It was scary and great fun. But now I make sure I wear extra layers of clothes when I go on these promotional tours," says Ranbir.

For the record the Siddharth Anand film that Ranbir (along with Bipasha, Katrina, Deepika Padukone and Minissha Lamba) will be doing from the end of November is not a remake of the Chris O'Donnell starrer The Bachelor.
