Tokyo, April 25 (IANS): Tokyo shares opened trading on Monday slightly lower as investors locked in recent gains after a four-day rise.
At 9.15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average edged down 34. 27 points, or 0.20 percent, from last Friday to 17,538.22, Xinhua news agency reported.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 3.31 points, or 0.24 percent, to 1,404.19.
