Mumbai, Mar 9: Women's wing of Bunts Sangha in the city celebrated world women's day at Radhabai Thimmappa Bhandary auditorium, Kurla east on Tuesday March 8 afternoon. President of the Sangha, Karnire Vishwanath Shetty chaired the celebrations. Maharashtra government public health principal secretary Sujatha Sounik was the chief guest.
SNDT women's university Mumbai head of the department of economics at pre university level, professor Dr Vibhuthi Patel and film actress Avanthika Shetty were the guests of honour and special guest respectively.
Women's wing executive president Lata Jayarama Shetty, vice president Mamatha M Shetty, honorary secretary Kavitha I R Shetty, honorary treasurer Asha S Shetty, joint secretary Asha S Shetty and jointtreasurer Prashanthi D Shetty were present.
Bunts Sangha women members and youth of local committees presented cultural programmes. Women's wing executive president Lata Jayarama Shetty welcomed and gave the keynote address. Dr Poornima S Shetty and Dr Vijetha Shetty compered the programme. Kavitha I R Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.
