Mangalore, Sep 20: Panambur sub-division will get an IPS officer this time. The state government has issued an order by appointing Koushalendra Kumar as an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) for Panambur sub-division.
He will replace Panambur DySP Pitambar Heraje has been transferred after being promoted. Hence, the state government has replaced him with an IPS officer.
Koushalendra Kumar, a native of Bihar will be taking charge at the sub-division level for the first time.
Though initially he was asked to take charge after the completion of Mangalore City Corporation and Ullal Town Panchayat polls, the recent reports said that he has been instructed to take charge in a couple of days' time.
