Mumbai, Sep 13: Monthi fest was celebrated at St Jude's Church, Jerimeri here on Saturday September 8. It was organized by Konkan Taram Jerimeri.

Fr Joe D'Souza, Fr Theodore Fernandes and Fr Victor Noronha offered the solemn mass.

Singing competition for the children from 1st standard to 11th standard was organized on the previous day under the leadership of Fr Victor Noronha. Fr Theodore Fernandes, Richard Kalina and John R Mascarenhas were the judges for the competition.

During this occasion Konkan Taram also felicitated Fr Joe, Fr Theo, Fr Victor, Fr Stephen, Benjamin Miranda, Kuldip, Nelson and Nephie.

SSC students, who scored 60% and above were honoured with a certificate and a cash award. Note books were also distributed for more than 200 children who took part in offering the flowers to Mother Mary.  Urban D'Mello, Harry Sequeira  and Anthony Tauro were also present during the occasion.

John R Mascarenhas compered the programme. George Furtado, president proposed the vote of thanks. More than 800 people participated in the celebration.
