Bengaluru, Jan 8 (DHNS): BJP workers staged a protest in front of Town Hall in the City on Thursday to condemn the hike in Nandini milk price by the State government.
Former deputy chief minister R Ashoka, who led the protest, said that the increase in the price by Rs 4 per litre is unfair and will burn a hole in the pocket of the common man. “The Central government is putting in efforts to decrease the fuel rates but in our State the government has not even decreased the price of bus tickets,” he added. Speaking about the move to make helmets compulsory for pillion riders, Ashoka said that the State government should focus on maintaining roads in the City. Bad roads and potholes lead to accidents. The focus should be on making roads pothole-free, he said.
