Bengaluru: Yatnal suggests Yeddy as BJP state president

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Jan 7: Rebel BJP candidate, newly elected MLC, and former MP, Basanagouda Patil Yatnal, said that he is prepared to come back to BJP if Yeddyurappa is made state president of the party.

Speaking to media persons after taking oath as a member of the legislative council on Wednesday January 6, he urged the party to declare Yeddyurappa as the chief ministerial candidate of the party during the next assembly election.

Yatnal came down heavily on BJP state president, Prahlad Joshi, and leader of opposition in the assembly, Jagadish Shettar, terming them as fake BJP activists. He said that he himself happens to be the real BJP activist.
