Udupi, Dec 21: Byndoor MLA, K Gopal Poojary at a press meet on Monday December 21 said that victory depends on recent issues that have occurred in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi, whereas victory in other districts depends on various developments.
Rajya Sabha member Oscar Fernandes adopted Shiroor village, while Yeddyurappa adopted Kerady village to develop it under ideal village project. If there are any doubts about their work efficiency, it will be seen after examining who has released the most funds.
On the issue of Pratapchandra Shetty's protest against Varahi project, he is in the party but no Congress leaders have taken any disciplinary action against him. Poojary defended Shetty and told the media that he had approached the state party president and Fernandes regarding the protest. First of all Shetty protested for the good of the public. No other party candidate participated in the protest. As a result of this protest, nearly 50% of the farmers got water.
He further added that they have informed the presidents of ten blocks’ about those spreading false messages and those involved in anti-party activities. The report will then be submitted to KPCC and action will be taken against the particular member in two days.
Gopal Poojary assured that Prathap will get majority votes and will win the elections.
Speaking to media persons he said regarding the Udupi-Mangaluru polls, voters will cast their votes based on recent issues that have occurred and not on candidate's achievements, when other districts count the overall development before casting their vote.
He further said, "The state government has enforced the Ramesh Kumar committee report in order to strengthen the gram panchayats.
The state government pays more tax to the central government but the central government is not releasing grants to the state proportional to the tax amount received. There is need for Shobha Karandlaje to release more grants. She must list out her achievements of the one and a half years she has taken over as MP.
