Bengaluru, Dec 4: A person, who fell in love with a girl who was more educated than him, and married her with mutual consent, committed suicide after coming to know that his wife had loved and married another person without his knowledge in the guise of joining a paying guest (PG)accommodation.
After deciding to marry the girl, the youth had stopped his education midway and started to work to support the family. His wife, a part-time lecturer, soon said she wanted to pursue coaching for IAS and KAS positions, and began to live separately in the guise of joining pg accommodation, as she felt that she would not be able to study enough under the umbrella of his love and affectionate care.
After coming to know that his wife had married another person and had belied his trust, the youth committed suicide, leaving behind a death note in which he recalled that his parents had advised him against marrying a girl with higher educational qualification than his own, warning him that she would desert him sooner or later. He however, also wished his wife a 'happy married life' in the suicide note he left behin.
Mukund (33), a resident of NGEF Layout in Nagarbavi here happens to be the man who ended his life, having been cheated by his wife. His wife, Choodamani, reportedly separated from him in the guise of studying in paying guest accommodation, duly collecting money from him, and then married another man after falling in love with him. She succeeded in keeping both the men in the dark about her affair, and once in a way met Mukund, it is said. Somehow, mukund came to know about what she was up to in course of time, and decided to sacrifice his life. Mukund hanged himself on Wednesday December 2. A case about the incident was filed in Jnanabharathi police station in the city.
