Puttur: Rubber tapper commits suicide by drinking acid

Puttur, Nov 29: A person from Mairkatte in Perne village in the taluk committed suicide by consuming acid on Saturday November 28. The deceased has been identified as Biju (30), working as rubber tapper for a farmer from Perne named Anand.

Anand owns a rubber plantation, and Biju had joined him as rubber tapper about eight months back.

It is gathered that Biju was addicted to liquor. It is guessed that he would have been frustrated with life. A case of unnatural death was registered in Uppinangady police station.
