Chikkamagaluru, Nov 28: Sri Bharatiteeertha Swamiji of Sringeri Sharada Peetha has said that he has wholeheartedly excused the persons who had made slanderous remarks about him through social site, Faebook.

"Being ascetics and having sacrificed our attachment and emotions, I do not get disturbed by praises or accusations. Let the Lord grant good sense to the concerned. Pardoning those who commit mistakes is a noble quality," he remarked.

In his reaction to the said Facebook post meant to malign and denigrate him, the Swamiji said his only wish is that the people of the world should live in peace, comfort and contentment. "I have wholeheartedly forgiven the creator of this post. My gesture will be rewarded if the person lives a life guided by good values," he added in a press statement released on behalf of the Math.

Administrative officer of he Math, Dr V R Gourishankar, said that issuing unfounded statements and making libelous allegations against the institution of Sharada Peetha and its spiritual head does not bode well for anyone and wished that such an incident had not happened. He praised the police department for its swift action in arresting the guilty. He said that the responsibility of behaving peacefully and exercising restraint is the foremost duty of everyone in the society under these circumstances.

Also take the complaint back and close the case, let that person come out and repent. There is no point in ruining the life of a person for some comments posted online.
