Mangaluru, Nov 24: The first anniversary of Infant Jesus family was celebrated on Sunday, November 22 at Infant Jesus Shrine, Bikarnakatte.
The celebration marked its beginning with the holy Eucharistic. On this occasion, each member of the family promised to be a faithful follower of Christ through service. They were given the sashes as a mark of it in the presence of the faithful by Fr Joe Tauro.
Fr Joe Tauro (OCD) was the main celebrant along with Fr Elias D’Souza (OCD) for the festive mass.
The Infant Jesus family members along with their dear ones took part in the celebration in the Shrine Hall. The president of the celebration, Fr Joe Tauro (OCD), chief guest Elias Fernandes (director of four winds) and Fr Elias D’Souza (OCD) were present on the dais.
The winners of the various competitions were honored by giving away the prizes by the chief guest Elias Fernandez. He also conveyed his wishes for the success of the programme on this occasion.
The annual report was read by Dolphy D’Souza. Gretta Pinto compered the programme.
The Infant Jesus family members arranged a cultural programme along with a sumptuous meal on the occasion. The Infant Jesus family members provide services to the Shrine through various means.
