'Pakistan has friendly policies for foreign investment'


Islamabad, Oct 31 (IANS): The Pakistani government has evolved investor friendly policies to attract foreign investment in the country, President Mamnoon Hussain has said.

Addressing International Management Accountants Conference in Murree on Saturday Mamnoon said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) provides immense opportunities for investment, Radio Pakistan reported on Sunday.

He added that the CPEC project will benefit the entire region.

The president also said that terrorism has damaged Pakistan's economy.

He said action is being taken against terrorists under National Action Plan to create conducive atmosphere for investment, and assured that the government will continue the operations against terrorism till the objective is achieved.

The President urged people from all walks of life including the technocrats, to support the government and the armed forces in their mission of establishing lasting peace in the country.
