Moody’s warns Modi: Rein in BJP members or risk losing credibility

New Delhi, Oct 30 (PTI) : International rating agency Moody’s Analytics on Friday cautioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi that India might lose domestic and global credibility if he did not rein in controversial members of his Bharatiya Janata Party.

In a report titled India Outlook: Searching for Potential, Moody’s Analytics said for the country to reach its growth potential it has to deliver the promised reforms.

“Undoubtedly, numerous political outcomes will dictate the extent of success,” it said. The ruling BJP does not have a majority in the Rajya Sabha and crucial reforms bills has been met with an obstructionist opposition.

“But in recent times, the government also hasn’t helped itself, with controversial comments from various BJP members.
While Modi has largely distanced himself from the nationalist gibes, the belligerent provocation of various Indian minorities has raised ethnic tensions.

“Along with a possible increase in violence, the government will face stiffer opposition in the upper house as debate turns away from economic policy. Modi must keep his members in check or risk losing domestic and global credibility,” Moody’s said.

It projected that India’s GDP growth for September quarter at 7.3%, while for the full fiscal it would be 7.6%.
“Key economic reforms could deliver greater potential GDP, as they would improve India’s productive capacity. These include the land acquisition bill, a national goods and service tax, and revamped labour laws. They are unlikely to pass through Parliament in 2015, but there is an even chance of success in 2016,” Moody’s said.

As regards interest rates, it said low rates will buttress the economy in the short-term but reforms are needed to reach long-term potential growth.

The Reserve Bank kick-started the recovery by cutting the repo rate by 1.25% this year.

It said positive signs are emerging with the State Bank of India, the nation’s largest bank, cut its base lending rate earlier this month.

“Capacity utilisation has been low across industries this year. The capital expenditure pipeline is running dry. However, interest rate cuts should encourage investment, as will the softer inflation profile,” it added.

Now Mr.Jaitley will say, Moodi's have manufactured this and Congress has encouraged them.
This BJP has become so arrogant that they are blinded by their pride and their leader. Even the few learned they had in their party are also consumed by the fact that everyone in the world conspiring against them. they don't introspect and see the prudence lacking in them or it may be deliberate because they all have stuck to RSS agenda of changing India into Hindu rastra. That's why Modi do not want to respond directly and stop the fringe. He has been advised by RSS to follow a two pronged strategy.
Let Modi talk of development and keep quiet on other matters while the fringe actively promote and establish their agenda thru the newly formed group's which have come up like mushrooms since last May. The extreme groups like Hindu Sena, Ram Sena, Shiv Sena, VHP (to name a few) have gone into establishing their law and faith like Cow, Beef, Godse and all the myths of ancient hindu belief's and show them that they are real. This way, they have brought a split among the majority and minorities so that this split widens and someday a real carnage starts of eliminating minorities physically.
World has already realized India is not a place for them to come and invest. This thought BJP has killed when they started bringing manufactured scams(sorry Mr.Jaitley, I am stealing your phrase) against MMS government from 2012. None of those they could prove yet. The socalled corruption of UPA was blown out of proportion by hiring media and this costed india dearly since then. No investor will come to india unless there is a real peace among the political parties and at large among the majority and minorities. Modi can take only one route and that is tobe honest not to his party or RSS but to India and make peace with his opponents. Unless he reigns-in on the fringe of his party, things will go out of control very soon. Mr.Modi be Indias PM and not BJP's.

Moody’s Analytics on rising intolerance in India is the consequence of the continuous protest of the pseudo secularist intelligentsia and smear complain by negative media, who in fact seems to be ignorant of all their actions. Treachery will be too modest for the sabotage of nation’s image. No doubt, Moody is a credible rating agency but the credibility of its report became doubtful when such agencies draws conclusion without any proper research and is on the basis orchestrated pitch by antagonists, habitual distracters and members of Modiji's Haters Club.
People of India has full confidence and faith in Modi. In one and half years our Prime Minister visited various countries to attract investments in the country and as per record commitments of over $175 Billion is received. For development of our economy we need huge investment in our infrastructure and industry. We need 10 million new jobs a year to reduce unemployment problem and eradicate poverty, etc.
Modiji is an amazing leader. He is a working very hard inspite of continuous scrutiny, humiliation, ridicule, blames abuses for everything and anything from a lynching in Dadri, UP to a beef ban in Maharashtra & J&K, murder of so-called liberals in Karnataka.
Medias' bias against Modi is evident from the fact that it even did not give due coverage to the recently concluded most successful and biggest India- Africa summit held in New Delhi. We know in India and Chinese GDP were comparable in early seventies. Now, India's GDP is less than not a quarter of Chinese GDP. Who responsible for this. Certainly Congress, which ruled the nation.
Fortunately Modiji is doing tirelessly to catch up if not surpass the China. In short time of one and half year Modiji successfully brought back Indias lost image and a favoured desitination. But his haters could not tolerate the same and started the smear campaign.

Nobody should raise their voice if they are mistreated and tormented by the Government and the party comrades at their will. Let the Dalits be burned-and people who keep meat at home be killed and beaten-let there be corruption in high level-worship of beef etc etc, everybody must keep quite.

Mr. Modi has never spoken out against the murder and atrocities conducted by his party and sister party followers. How do you justify that?

Does he have the guts to say that every citizen of India has the right to eat the food of their choice and nobody has the right to impose religious attachment with the food they prefer to eat?

Well, how the International Rating Agency Moody's threw a net at Modiji?

Modiji was acting quite systematically in India not to offend his comrades might have given secret instructions, but they were running their mouths like autocratic demi gods, a bunch of political .......

The CM of Haryana's statement challenging the 173 million Muslims and the rest of the minorities, that if they want to live in India, stop eating beef was rather an eye-opening ultimatum.

Mr. Modi didn't know that the whole world was watching in minute detail, what is going on under the new BJP ministry indeed India was heading towards an anarchy.

Can Mr. Modi block the mouths of this big talkers who are trying their level best to transform India as an autocratic theocracy?
No, he will not do that.

Not only the Moody's but other arrows will be landing in India if events are moving like this, because now India is like a rudderless ship in a wild ocean.

How FDI will land in India if the International Rating Agencies are giving a red signal?
